Automatic water tank filling with the Lansitec Solar Pump Remote Gateway
Why Farms Need Wireless Remote Water Pump Control
Imagine your farm has a water tank in one location and a pump at a borehole 3 km away. You need the pump to start when the tank runs low and stop when it’s full.
Traditionally, this requires a long electrical control cable connecting the tank’s float switch to the pump controller. Installing kilometers of cable is expensive, and keeping it working can be another challenge. Rodents, accidental damage, and electrical surges can interrupt the connection, leading to costly repairs and an unreliable water supply.
What if you could replace that long control cable with a wireless connection?
That’s exactly what the Lansitec Solar Pump Remote Gateway does.
How Does a Wireless Water Pump Control System Work?
The solution uses two small, solar-powered devices that communicate wirelessly over long distances.
- At the water tank: A gateway connects to a float switch or water level sensor and checks whether the tank needs filling.
- At the pump: A second gateway receives the wireless signal and tells the existing pump controller when to start or stop.
- Automatic operation: When the water level drops, the pump starts. When the tank fills, the pump stops.
การ เกตเวย์ communicate directly using long-range LoRa wireless technology. No internet connection, mobile network, or long control cable is required for basic automatic operation.
The pump still uses its normal power supply and controller. Only the long-distance control connection becomes wireless.
How Far Can a Wireless Water Pump Control System Reach?
การ เกตเวย์ can communicate over 3 km in clear line-of-sight conditions. Actual range depends on hills, trees, buildings, and other obstacles.
For larger properties or difficult terrain, additional เกตเวย์ can pass the signal along. A single communication chain can contain up to ten devices, including eight intermediate relay เกตเวย์.
ทั้งหมด เกตเวย์ use the same hardware. Their role depends on how they’re configured.
Solar-Powered Wireless Gateways for Outdoor Farm Applications
Each gateway has a built-in 3W solar panel and rechargeable battery, so there’s no need to run a separate power cable to the gateway.
The weather-resistant IP66 enclosure protects against dust and heavy water jets. The battery is designed to support up to seven days of operation during cloudy or rainy weather.
What Else Can You Monitor with a Solar Pump Remote Gateway?
The same equipment can support other farm monitoring needs.
Connect a compatible water level sensor to monitor how much water remains in a borehole or storage tank. The gateway also supports compatible Bluetooth เซ็นเซอร์ for soil moisture, rainfall, air temperature, humidity, and wind speed.
For farmers who want to check conditions or control equipment remotely, the gateway can connect to a โลราวัน network and a compatible monitoring system. This requires additional network infrastructure and software.
Less Cabling. Less Maintenance. More Reliable Water Supply.
Whether you’re supplying water to livestock, filling irrigation tanks, or managing several remote boreholes, the Lansitec Solar Pump Remote Gateway offers a practical way to automate water supply without installing long-distance control cables.
Keep the water flowing while reducing the need to travel between the tank and pump.
